Two Headed Arguments sharing a 1/4 of the logic

images-3

I really can’t stand when people use the opposite force to get across a similar point, for example just a moment ago I got asked the question “Would you act like that at work or would you say that to your boss” which is just as easily said “Would you do that at home or would you say that to your mother”. The problem with these arguments is that typically the behavior or statement being commented on is not analogous with either point. It is a rude way of saying “you’re acting in a way I don’t understand”. It is attempting to belittle the “offender”. I hate this. I hate it I hate it I hate it. it is deciding that that person will not be listened too because you don’t care to try to relate to them. No one acts the same way at work as they do at home. I shouldn’t have to “work” while I’m at home. I shouldn’t have to try to fit in and try not to get noticed at home. I should be able to just be and relax and say what I want but frankly this is not the case.
This rant comes from living at home after graduating from college. It is funny how we forget the exact reasons we left. I feel like fifteen year old me, waiting for adulthood to kick in and take me to a place where I have control over my life. I am at the point where I am ready to take control but that will rock every boat I know of that exist. It is so messy but frankly it is “time I do that at home. “
