A Vignette

It Remains My Memory and Your Regret

Remember the time we never met

Twinkling lights in the cold December air

It remains my memory and your regret

New beginnings with old intentions set

The expectant smile and an enticing stare

Remember the time we never met

Lost in the list of love and leasing to let

An untamed blush blossom on skin so fair

It Remains My memory and your regret

Love continuing to burgeon with impending debt

A dimly lit street muting a self set snare

Remember the time we never met

Faults forming yet defying frequent frets

Spending each second not leaving one to spare

It Remains My memory and your regret

The Persistence of memory you will not soon forget

Lying in your arms, breath sweet and skin bare

Remember the time we never met

It Remains My memory and your regret
